I know one of the challenges of keeping natural hair is getting it all soft and easy to comb. This has actually made me transition so many times, till i finally settle for some home remedies to keep it soft and easy to comb and style.

Without further delay, below are the steps / tips to achieving soft natural hair.

Shea butter contains vitamin A, E and essential fatty acids. The fatty acids deeply penetrate into the hair shaft and straightens to smoothen the cuticle and made the hair strand soft while the vitamins (A, E) helps locks in moisture, soothes dryness, minimize breakage and helps to reduce split ends.
If you worried about it weighing the hair, just trying whipping it. I actually melt my own Shea better in hot water

Home made whipped Shea butter

Melt the shea butter and coconut oil using a double boiler or even a microwave until it has liquefied. Set aside for it to cool down for about 3 minutes. Add in the argan oil, raw honey, essential oil and mix well. Whip the mixture till you get a white and creamy natural hair conditioner.
Direction: apply the melted Shea butter by massaging it gently yet thoroughly from the root to the end of the hair and allow it sit for a while.

DEEP CONDITIONING

Ingredients

overripe avocado (sliced)

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/2 cup unrefined shea butter

2-3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Place the sliced avocado, unrefined shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, and apple cider vinegar into a blender. (There is no need to melt the shea butter ahead of time.)  Blend all the ingredients thoroughly and add more olive oil, if necessary, until the mixture reaches your desired consistency. When done, apply to the hair and let sit for 10-30 minutes under a shower cap. Detangle, rinse thoroughly, with cool water. Keep rinsing until the water runs clear. Towel dry your hair and then style as usual.

BANANA FOR DEEP CONDITIONING

Cut a banana into pieces and place them in a bowl.
